FAQ
How do I book a session?
You can book a session via the book online tab at the top right of the page and selecting one of the session offers, or you can contact me directly at lexslucidlens@gmail.com or Instagram @lexslucidlens. I will get back to you within 24 hours to confirm details and next steps.
Do you require a Deposit?
Yes - a non-refundable retainer is required to secure your session date. Deposits will vary depending on the session and gallery. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the confirmed session date. For weddings and larger scale events the remaining balance is due 2 weeks before. Rescheduling may be requested 7 days prior to a session and your deposit is transferable, rescheduling after the 7 day timeline will result in a forfeiture of your deposit.
I'm awkward in front of the camera - is that okay?
Of course! Most people feel this way - especially when doing photos professionally for the first time. I will guide you through posing, movements, and expression so you never feel uncomfortable, stiff or unsure. "Vulnerability is scary but it is the only thing worth anything." You are also welcome to ask me questions and express concerns prior to our session and take breaks if needed.
What should I wear?
Once you are booked, I can send over a styling guide with outfit tips and colour options. Multiple outfit changes are dependent on the session you book, you are also welcome to wear whatever you feel best in.
When will I get my images?
Your edited images will be delivered within 2-3 weeks via a private online gallery. Time for larger sessions like weddings, events and product placements are subject to change due to seasons, time and size of the session (this can be discussed in advance if needed). Rush turn arounds will incur an extra fee.
How many photos will I receive?
Each session includes a set number of edited images (outlined in price guide), with the option to purchase additional photos after the gallery delivery if you would like more.

I kindly ask that you please do not edit or change images yourself, you may request up to 5 free re-edits if required, or a fee for re-editing entire galleries may incur.
Do you edit photos heavily?
I focus on natural, polished edits unless otherwise requested. Colour correction, lighting, and subtle retouching while keeping you looking like you. Please note: I will not edit or reshape your body under any circumstances. Retouching scars or brief injuries is fine if requested prior to editing.
Can I bring a friend / partner for support?
Yes, as long as they are not disruptive and respect our time and space, and especially if it helps you feel more comfortable! Just let me know in advance (when you are booking)
Do you travel?
I am happy to travel, however I do work primarily within Victoria, Saanich and Langford, BC. For locations outside of this area, travel fees may apply.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life Happens. Please provide at least 7 days notice for rescheduling without losing your retainer. Cancellations and rescheduling will result in forfeit of your deposit and will require a re-booking.
Do you offer custom packages?
Yes - If you have something specific in mind, I am happy to create a custom session that fits your needs and vision.
Do you offer TFP (Trade-For-Print) Sessions?
Yes, but only for portfolio building, collaborations and independent models. I often post and announce when I am offering TFP for sessions on Instagram @lexslucidlens
